Molly-Mae Hague has assured her fans that she is not ‘neglecting’ her infant daughter Bambi.
On Tuesday night, the former Love Island star, 24, posted a new video to her popular YouTube channel, showcasing her preparations for a trip to New York.
During one episode, as Molly was talking about an iced coffee drink that had disappointed her, Bambi – whom she welcomed seven months ago with now-fiancé Tommy Fury, also 24 – could be heard crying from another room.
The international celebrity, on the other hand, was sure to intervene and solve the matter before she was mum-shamed for being a horrible parent and neglecting her kid.
Instead, she assured her audience that she was on top of the problem.
‘If you ever think I am neglecting the baby monitor and you can hear Bambi in the background – like that noise, I don’t know if you can hear it? – don’t think I’m neglecting her.’
‘She just takes a minute to settle off when she has her nap,’ Molly explained.
She continued: ‘I always leave her for five minutes and then she’ll just fall asleep. Don’t think that I’m being a bad mum there.’
Molly had a lot of support in the comments, with one viewer writing: ‘What a happy little baby.️ You are doing an amazing job Molly.’
‘Don’t listen to any haters you are amazing,’ chimed in someone else.
In the video, the former Pretty Little Thing creative director, who announced her departure from the post in June to spend more time with Bambi, also described how her sleeping pattern had changed drastically after becoming a mother.
‘My sleeping pattern has changed that much that if I’m not asleep by half ten or eleven, I’m panicking,’ she told her sister Zoe, who had come around to help her pack for New York.
‘Back in the days before I had Bambi, if I was asleep by 1am I’d be like, “oh, pretty early night tonight”,’ she admitted, with Zoe confessing she ‘always used to get really annoyed’ by it.
‘When Tommy and I used to live in our first ever apartment, if it was 1am we’d go, “shall we stick a film on?” Because that was early,’ Molly added.
