Molly-Mae Hague has jetted off to her next destination but even she can’t avoid the travel chaos this summer.
The former Love Island star has enjoyed quite the jet-set lifestyle this year, having enjoyed work trips and holidays to Dubai, Los Angeles, Spain, Northern Ireland, Mexico, Paris and New York, with boyfriend Tommy Fury joining her on occasion.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Molly-Mae, 23, revealed she was hopping on a plane again but it didn’t appear to be a breezy airport experience.
A clip posted to her Instagram stories showed lengthy queues snaking around what appeared to be close to the entrance of Manchester Airport. It’s not clear if Molly-Mae was also forced to queue or she was able to walk through but she gave her followers a glimpse of the chaos nonetheless.
‘Immaculate scenes at 3am,’ Molly-Mae captioned the video, which was timestamped at 03:27am.
Many airports and airlines are buckling under the pressure of summer holidays, with families booking their getaways after more than two years of delays due to the Covid pandemic.
There are also members of the Unite and GMB unions being balloted in a dispute over pay, and low numbers of check-in staff. Some experts are concerned that the issues could even last up to 18 months – potentially putting next year’s summer getaways in doubt.
Molly-Mae hasn’t revealed her destination yet but she was finally able to make it onto the plane at 6:13am, sharing a photo of herself snuggled up with her beloved teddy Ellie Bellie and Shrek playing on her iPad.
It comes just weeks after the PrettyLittleThing creative director enjoyed a romantic trip to Dubai with boyfriend Tommy to celebrate her 23rd birthday – the pair had also flown to Los Angeles for a dream holiday the previous month for the boxer’s birthday.
