Mark Wright has paid homage to his wife Michelle Keegan, who has made her BBC One debut in a new drama.
In a beautiful Instagram post on Sunday, the former Towie star lavished the Our Girl actress with admiration ahead of Ten Pound Poms premiering that evening.
Mark, 36, posted a photo of himself and Michelle, 35, during their summer holiday in Sydney, along with a message of encouragement for his wife’s current attempt.
In the photo, the gorgeous pair dressed down for a sunset stroll on the beach. Mark wore a grey hoodie, while Michelle wore a black puffer coat and matching black sunglasses and looked effortlessly elegant and sun-kissed.
He penned: ‘Here we are, back in July 2022 in Sydney Australia, where this incredibly, talented, hardworking special little wife of mine spent 5 months last year working her but off, filming her new show Ten Pound Poms!!’
He added: ‘Tonight we finally get to see it on our screens and I’m so bloody excited and proud. 9pm tonight @bbcone.’
Fans were ecstatic about the actress’ new programme, especially as many viewers have ancestors who moved from the UK to start a new life in sunny Australia in the 1950s.
‘Really been looking forward to watching this! My Dad’s brother was a ten pound pom! He’s now 88 years old, left the UK in the late 60s I think and never looked back,’ one said.
‘Can’t wait to watch! Such a brilliant actress and what a gorgeous couple you both are.’
Other fans mirrored Mark’s admiration when they watched the series on BBC iPlayer, since all six episodes are already accessible to view.
‘I watched it, it was great and Michelle smashed it,’ one wrote, as another agreed: ‘It’s great. I’m watching it on BBC iPlayer I’m on episode 5 – very talented actress.’
Michelle was there to congratulate her husband when he crossed the finish line at the London Marathon last month, proving that the pair always supports one other’s accomplishments.
Ten Pound Poms airs on BBC One on Sunday at 9pm.
