Bebe Rexha was smacked in the face with a phone thrown from the audience at a New York show yesterday, and now the suspected assailant has come up.

Medics rushed to the 33-year-old singer, however she was unable to finish her performance owing to the injuries.

While the I’m Good (Blue) singer was on stage, the phone smacked into her face, forcing her to tumble to the floor.

She was then led out of the arena, her hands still gripping her face.

Now, additional facts about what transpired at the artist’s Best F***in’ Night Of My Life Tour show have emerged, which the musician had been excitedly promoting all day Sunday.

Bebe was reportedly brought to the hospital following the incident and given sutures.

Bebe did, in fact, take to social media yesterday night to publish a photo of her injured eye and medical tape covering her brow.

Bebe’s whole eye was enlarged in another photo, which appeared to be shot the night of the event, and a cut protruded from her left brow.

She posted a comforting ‘Im okay’ below the photo, but her fans were upset.

Demi Lovato had some comforting words as she said: ‘Love you girly.. I’m so sorry this happened to you 😣.’

Singer Lauren Jauregui wrote: ‘Dude what the f***?!? I’m so sorry babe😩 so f***ed up.’

Appalled, Wrestler Natalya Neidhart commented: ‘I saw what happened to you. I’m completely disgusted. I’m so sorry this happened to you.’

The suspected attacker, Nicolas Malvagna of New Jersey, has now spoken out, according to Rolling Stone.

According to the magazine, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office claims Malvagna admitted to hurling the phone.

The 27-year-old was also said to have explained his motives, as he reportedly said: ‘I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.’

According to the publication, the man was taken to custody and arraigned the evening after the incident, and he has been charged with ‘two counts of assault in the three degree; one count of harassment in the second degree; one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree; and one count of attempted assault in the third degree’.

This event appears to be part of a larger trend, with audience members tossing things towards artists in the aim of interacting.

Harry Styles has long been the victim of flying projectiles, with one admirer hitting him in the eye with a Skittle last year.

Meanwhile, Kid Cudi walked off stage last year because of obnoxious supporters.

Bebe has four more gigs booked for her tour this week, but it is uncertain whether they will go place.
