Mama June Shannon gave a report on her daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s health, saying that her cancer is “final.”
The 28-year-old became famous on the television show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. In January, she was told she had stage 4 adrenal cancer and has been getting chemotherapy ever since.
June said in a new interview that even though her cancer is “aggressive,” she is doing well with it.
The TV star said, “She’s really doing pretty well.” “She’s doing a pretty good job of it.”
“Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m on a roller coaster. I think about it all the time. We know it’s going to kill us.’
Anna has had four rounds of chemotherapy since she found out she had cancer. The most recent treatment was especially hard for her.
June told her that her daughter, who has two kids of her own, is thinking about what to do next in terms of care.
‘She just wants to see how it’s going to go,’ she continued to Entertainment Weekly. ‘We don’t know what to expect because the cancer is very aggressive, and it grew from nothing to something huge on the left side of her body really fast.
‘She’s stage 4. She’s not going to go into remission. We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time because you never know.’
News of Anna’s illness first broke in March, with insiders telling TMZ that she initially went to the doctor complaining of a stomach ache.
The mother of two then had to go through a series of tests after doctors found cancer in her lung, kidney, and liver. In February, she got her first chemo treatment.
The Mayo Clinic says that adrenal cancer can happen at any age, but it is most common in children under the age of five and people in their 40s and 50s.

It’s not clear what causes the disease, but signs include weight gain, muscle weakness, back pain, abdominal bloating, sickness, and vomiting.
‘As her mom, there are some days that I don’t know how to deal with it,’ June previously told Us Weekly about Anna’s health.
‘I can just imagine, like, if I’m feeling that way as her mom, how she’s feeling that her way as a person who is having to live with it day in, day out.’
