Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth have traveled to the United States to begin their surrogacy journey.

The couple announced the exciting news on social media, explaining that they’ve got a medical exemption to travel amid the coronavirus pandemic.

‘To our amazing followers, the last year has been super tough on everyone and the joint effort of everyone has made a huge effect on all of us collectively getting past the restrictions and difficulties of Covid-19,’ Ollie wrote.

‘Respectfully and excitingly we wanted to post and make an announcement that we have traveled across the world and under medical exemptions to begin our IVF and surrogacy journey.

‘We know you have loved watching our journey so far and we can’t wait to take you on the adventure with us on the other side of the world and with any luck we might have some very good news for you in the coming months!

‘We hope our followers understand and support us in this journey and that you appreciate the circumstances that have allowed us to travel outside of a normal situation. All our love as always, Ollie & Gareth.’

Fans are thrilled for the pair, with one writing: ‘Good luck guys! I really hope it’s successful for you!’ and another adding: ‘Beautiful News! Wishing you a world of love and luck xx’.

Ollie and Gareth have been open about their IVF journey, revealing in March this year that they had found a surrogate.

The 33-year-old reality star revealed that he and his husband had endured months of ‘difficult’ planning and legal formalities but would soon travel to America with their surrogate.

The couple married last year at London’s Natural History Museum in front of 13 guests, including bridesmaids Binky Felstead and Olivia Bentley.

The couple organised the event with just 48 hours’ notice before the second national lockdown began in England in early November.
