Made in Chelsea’s Lucy Watson shares baby gender reveal after fertility struggle

Lucy Watson of Made in Chelsea announced the gender of her newborn child after coming up about her challenges to conceive.

Back in September, the 32-year-old reality actress revealed she was expecting her first child with husband and fellow cast member James Dunmore, also 32.

The vegan cookbook author posted a beautiful video to her Instagram account on Wednesday, detailing how she found out the gender of her baby.

James and Lucy enthusiastically cut into a beautifully prepared cream-colored cake while sitting on an outdoor sofa behind a wall of climbing lush green plants.

They smiled as they gently sliced a piece and peeled out the slither of dessert to reveal a blue-dyed filling, announcing the arrival of a young boy.

After obtaining the wonderful news, the thrilled soon-to-be parents leaped up from the couch and planted a kiss on one another, smiling and laughing at one another.

The video began in black and white then rapidly transitioned to colour to show off Lucy’s blue cake.

The actress appeared in the video wearing a khaki long-sleeved knit midi-dress, black boots, and matching black sunglasses on her head.

James wore a light blue shirt that he left open to expose a dark grey t-shirt below, and he completed his appearance with black slacks.

Fans and friends flocked to the comment area to wish the couple and their unborn child a happy birthday.

Former Made in Chelsea star Cheska Hull penned: ‘Huge congratulations’, with a string of heart eye emojis.

‘Congratulations, being a boy mama is amazing x,’ another friend offered while a separate social media account said: ‘Regardless of gender as it really doesn’t matter, wishing you both a safe pregnancy, birth and world of health and happiness with your little one.’

The gender of the couple’s child was revealed when Lucy revealed to her followers that she experienced reproductive troubles when the newlyweds began attempting to conceive.

During a Q&A on her Instagram after her pregnancy announcement last month, the TV star revealed: ‘There were times when it felt like bad news after bad news, it was never ending and the light at the end of the tunnel felt faint…

‘We have seen so many specialists over the last few years and there were times when I wasn’t sure if this could ever happen for us.

‘We know there are people out there who have it way worse and for everyone struggling, I see you and feel your pain.’
