Last month she revealed a video of her telling her followers about the lump on her neck which she had had for two years, prior to getting it checked.
She said in the clip: ‘I’m genuinely scared right because I’ve had this lump on my neck for about two years and it’s getting bigger.’
Demi added: ‘But I’m scared because I’m literally supposed to have an appointment in September, every month they’ve been rearranging it because obviously the pressures on the NHS and stuff at the moment because of Covid.
‘It’s been six months and I’m still not getting it checked and it’s getting bigger and it’s like stressing me out. I’m noticing it so much more in pictures.’
Demi has had an operation to remove the golfball-sized tumour and revealed in June that she was not having to have chemotherapy for it, but was still waiting for the all-clear.
She told her followers: ‘I’m fortunate enough not to go through chemotherapy. I’ve had my surgery. to remove the thyroid and I’m going to have some further iodine treatment.
‘I haven’t been told that I’m cancer free yet. I’m not actually sure if it’s completely gone or completely not gone yet. I’ve got to have some further iodine treatment in about six weeks time and some scans but hopefully by the end of the year I’ll know whether I’m cancer free.’
