Model Lottie Moss has been branded a ‘Covidiot’ by angry punters after she was seen in a video joking she was a ‘super-spreader’ during a night with pals.
Earlier in the evening, Lottie was photographed leaving Marylebone’s Xier restaurant with a group of friends, just days before it was being reported London may be plunged into Tier 3 restrictions.
Currently in Tier 2, guidelines stipulate you can only meet socially with friends or family members indoors who you live with, or you have formed a support bubble with – this also includes restaurants and private homes.
It is unclear what arrangement Lottie has and whether she lives with those she was photographed with.
In the clip, made during an Instagram Live on Saturday night, the half-sister of Kate Moss can be seen engaging with followers alongside her friends.
As they read the posts coming through thick and fast, Lottie turned to one of her friends and they kissed, before returning to the chat.
It was at this stage a follower in the chat noted something about ‘spreading Covid-19’ to which Lottie’s friend laughed: ‘We’re super-spreaders.’
Lottie put on a voice as she appeared to mock the message and said: ‘We’re, like, super-spreading Covid.’
According to The Sun, she then urged her followers to ‘do whatever they want to do’.
The publication reports she said: ‘Don’t let anyone tell you how to act.
‘You’re young, fun and you can have the best time and do whatever you want to do.’
The model, who has followed in her big sister’s footsteps into a career in front of the camera, is yet to publicly address the video and her comments, but that’s not stopped social media users from slamming the display.
One branded her a ‘Covidiot’, while another said she was ‘giving the middle finger to all NHS and front line workers’.
Labelling Lottie a ‘spoilt brat’, another wrote: ‘How can you even joke about being a super spreader when people are losing loved ones it just shows how little you care about anyone but your nights out. Such a spoilt brat.’
Another echoed similar sentiments, as they added: ‘Wow. Lottie Moss has drunkenly announced she’s a superspreader, while laughing, on her social media… while people can’t hold the hands of loved ones as they pass away. What a tone deaf, entitled, spoilt little brat.’
