Liam Payne’s viral Oscars interview, which broke the internet thanks to his unexpectedly different accent, has just got even better.
His quotes about the incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock have been turned into a Celtic Folk song, and somehow made even better.
Comedian Michael Fry shared his cover of Liam’s interview, using what he said to create the lyrics of his ditty.
Liam had said in the interview that Will Smith once ‘lived behind his house’, which Michael changed to him living in the garden, but clarified: ‘I think in the interview he said “he used to live behind my house” which is such a weird way of saying neighbours.
‘Saw someone on here being like “did will smith live in his shed or something?”’
Liam’s interview came about after Will stormed the stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada.
Chris had compared Jada, who has hair loss due to the medical condition alopecia, to GI Jane, leading Will to go up on stage and slap him, yelling ‘Get my wife’s name out your f**king mouth.’
After the Academy launched an investigation, Will handed in his resignation, apologising for his behaviour on the night.
