Liam Payne has had a sunny vacation with his girlfriend while recovering from a major procedure.
The One Direction frontman, 30, is dating Kate Cassidy, 24, and surprised her with a trip to Lake Como in Italy for their anniversary.
It comes after Liam was forced to cancel his South American tour due to a nasty kidney ailment.
Fans were given refunds, and Liam promised a ‘better’ concert when he was healthy enough to devote to it.
His girlfriend Kate videotaped the trip to Italy on TikTok, having no idea where she was being brought.
‘About five minutes before, I found out we were going somewhere in Italy. Our flight took us directly to Milan but our final destination was about an hour and a half drive from the Milan airport,’ she explained in a voiceover.
‘I literally love surprises so I was just so excited to see where I ended up.’
Speaking over clips of their flight and drive after landing Kate added: ‘About 30 minutes into the drive, Liam told me that he’s taking me to Lake Como, which I was so excited about because it’s always been on my bucket list.’
‘We finally arrived at the hotel and when I tell you my jaw was on the floor. Like, these views genuinely look out of a photo,’ Kate continued, showing off the gorgeous hotel where they are staying.
Liam, her boyfriend, also surprised her with a display of sweets in the room, including a chocolate heart with the words “Happy anniversary.”
He also arranged for the delivery of her “favourite” flowers.
Kate later posted a series of photos on Instagram, showing off the beautiful blue ocean and scenic vistas from their hotel, as well as the excellent pizza they ate.
Fans were naturally taken aback by Liam’s sweet gesture.

Liam began dating New Jersey-born model Kate in October 2022, and despite a brief break earlier this year, it appears they’re still celebrating anniversaries in style.
When Liam revealed his health problems last month, he prompted alarm among his devoted fans.
Taking to social media, the 1D star stated he had a kidney illness and that it was not the ‘appropriate time’ for him to be out on the road playing, despite the fact that his tour was set to begin on September 1.
He informed everyone that he had the ‘greatest personnel’ at home to assist him in his recuperation.
The Strip That Down hitmaker also wrote alongside the video: ‘It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.
‘Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.
‘I was beyond excited to come play for you guys. To all of you who have bought tickets: I’m so sorry. We’re working to re-schedule the tour as soon as we possibly can, but for now we will be refunding the tickets – so please look out for updates from your point of purchase.’
Liam signed off: ‘Thanks as always for the love and support, and look forward to seeing you soon.’
