Lauren Harries of Celebrity Big Brother has posted an update on her condition while in the hospital, exhibiting bruised arms and hands.
Earlier this week, a posting from the TV personality’s Twitter account showed her recuperating in bed following emergency brain surgery, adding that she also had a chest and throat infection.
‘Lauren would also want to thank the NHS Nurses and Doctors,’ the post said. Physiotherapy is up next, while she battles a chronic headache. “Peace and light.”
On Thursday, the 45-year-old shared multiple photographs on Twitter of her injured arms and hands for the camera.
‘You would think by 2023 there would be a better way,’ the tweet read alongside the pictures.
On April 14, Lauren’s mother, Katy, issued a plea on Twitter asking for people to pray for her daughter after her procedure, saying: ‘Please pray or send good thoughts to my precious daughter Lauren @LaurenHarries. Who is recovering from emergency brain surgery today.’
A day later, a photo of the antiques expert propped up in bed wearing sunglasses in a blue-lit room was uploaded.
‘Lauren has woken up after her brain surgery. They had to shave her hair. As you know this is Laurens worst nightmare but she would have died if not,’ the tweet read.
‘The amazing staff in the Heath Hospital have been wonderful. Thank you for your kind words, her recovery ahead. Update to follow.’
A few days later, her supporters were notified that she was “under close watch” due to “memory issues and confusion.”
Lauren was claimed to be suffering from a ‘permanent headache’ this week as she continued to receive treatment in preparation for physiotherapy.
Fans have continued to give her their well wishes, with others leaving encouraging remarks beneath photographs of her painful-looking injuries.
‘Think of the good times yet to come. Hope you’re feeling fabulous again soon,’ one person commented.
‘Bless you,’ another simply wrote.
Lauren finished third on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, trailing the winner, Charlotte Crosby, and the runner-up, Abz Love.
