Lauren Harries’ mother has warned followers that her daughter suffers from a ‘life-threatening spinal injury.’
The 45-year-old Celebrity Big Brother 2013 contestant has been in the hospital for three months recovering following emergency brain surgery.
Lauren eventually developed infections and was placed in a coma as a result of severe convulsions.
Despite being conscious, the kid antiques expert has continued to suffer from spinal problems, with a recent procedure having been unsuccessful.
An MRI revealed a split in Lauren’s spine, necessitating surgery.
Lauren’s mother, Katie, posted another tragic update on Twitter on Tuesday (July 18).
‘We were informed yesterday that Lauren has a life threatening spinal tear. She is having emergency surgery today, the first of two operations,’ she wrote.
‘This has meant she is in constant pain and unable to walk it could also lead to more bleeding on the brain.
‘She has been through so much in her 3 1/2 months in hospital, this is her 3rd operation.’
Her mum added: ‘She’s strong but needs your love.
‘We are praying that they are successful and hope you do the same.’
Fans were quick to send their love to Lauren and her family.
One replied: ‘Sending love to you and keep strong girl you can get through this xx’

Lauren’s mother earlier voiced her grief upon seeing her daughter in the hospital.
Lauren has lost her beautiful, wavy hair due to surgery, had terrible bruises, and nearly died in surgery during the previous few months.
Katie shared a video of Lauren shortly after her first operation and described her daughter’s condition as “terrifying.”
‘One of the scariest experiences of a mother’s life, seeing your child hurting,’ wrote the 80-year-old.
‘All I wanted to do was swap places with Lauren.’
She explained: ‘This is just after her brain surgery, even then we had no idea if we’d ever get our Lauren back again.
‘Seeing her like this was terrifying.
‘She has been so brave and I am so proud of her for all she’s been through.’
