Laura Anderson has admitted that she sought to reconcile with Gary Lucy following their divorce.
The former couple revealed earlier this year that they were expecting their first child together before announcing their divorce shortly after.
Laura, 34, stated in a recent interview that her and Gary’s position has now become ‘too crazy,’ and she is merely concentrating on welcome her baby into the world.
Laura, a former Love Island contestant, is 25 weeks pregnant and set to give birth in August.
While taking part in a maternity photo, the soon-to-be mother-of-one quickly debunked rumours that she and Gary divorced because she wanted to move to Scotland.
Gary previously refused to leave England due to the four children he has with his ex-wife Natasha Grey.
‘That’s not true,’ Laura insisted, adding, ‘I was always moving to Essex.’
Speaking to OK!, she went on: ‘[The breakup is] really hard to explain.
‘I wanted us to reconcile and I wanted things to work out, but because of things I found out since then, and the fact nothing has been discussed or resolved, I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic.’
Laura met Gary, a former Hollyoaks star, last summer when they both appeared on Celebs Go Dating.
Following her breakup with Gary, the TV personality’s pregnancy has been a difficult one, with her earlier saying they were ‘absolutely not’ on good terms.
She was reportedly alleged to be’so unhappy’ that her ex had publicised their baby’s sex ‘without her consent’ in March.
Gary revealed the couple’s pregnancy through Instagram story, with a shot of a pink crown and the words ‘daddy’s girl’ written beneath.
It also featured a baby scan and the message: ‘For everyone that’s been asking… let’s hope she inherits her mummy’s looks.’
Gary also told his followers: ‘Thanks for all the lovely messages from everyone… so excited to meet my little baby bear soon!’
