Kim Kardashian put on a pink extravaganza for her five-year-old daughter Chicago’s birthday party on Sunday, signalling a significant change in her typically monotonous home.
In honour of Chicago, the reality personality, 42, transformed her normally beige, aesthetically appealing (or bland, depending on your interiors style) mansion into a Hello Kitty paradise.
The $60 million (£49 million) Hidden Hills mansion was unrecognisable in the star’s Instagram photographs from the day, with its simple walls and carpets replaced with a brighter – pinker – version.
Every room in Kim’s house was decorated with balloons and Hello Kitty goods as the family gathered to celebrate one of the clan’s youngest members.
Her daughter is one of four children she has with her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West, who reportedly just’married’ one of his Yeezy designers in a private ceremony two months after the couple’s divorce was finalised.
Despite being the father of Chicago, the infamous artist was nowhere to be found in social media posts from the event.
TikTok videos alerted followers to the ramen bar where the Kardashians dined on Asian cuisine, as well as Chicago’s Waffle Pops and milkshakes from a separate specialised station.
In keeping with the theme, Kim had the Hello Kitty pattern toasted into pieces of bread with a bright pink filling.
The event included a DJ who provided the soundtrack for the lovely day, as well as a massive ball pit filled with pink plastic balls and two slides.
Throughout the venue, guests could participate in slime making, face painting, and kitten stuffing at their leisure.
Sharing updates with fans over footage on TikTok, the proud mum penned: ‘Happy birthday ChiChi’ with a red heart emoji.
The video started with the influencer saying, ‘Happy birthday, Chicago!’ I adore you to pieces. I can’t believe you’re already five.’
Kim was then shown in the video wearing a baby tee with the message ‘I Love You Chicago’ written across the front as she began providing a tour of her newly decorated home.
The majority of the food was created in accordance with the theme, including a big Hello Kitty birthday cake shaped like the character.
Fans saw momager Kris Jenner enjoy herself on her granddaughter’s big day in among the rest of her famous brood, as the tour concluded with a montage of family members wishing the tiny girl a happy birthday.
Kim has three other children from her six-year marriage to rapper Kanye, which ended in 2021: North West, nine, Saint, seven, and Psalm, three.
