Khloe Kardashian has praised the ‘many good sides’ of her ex-partner Tristan Thompson, insisting that there is ‘no drama’ between them despite him cheating on her.
The TV reality star discussed the father of her four-year-old daughter True in a new interview on Tuesday.
With their on-off relationship since 2016 plagued by rumours of his alleged cheating, basketball player Tristan admitted to fathering a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols after a ‘months-long’ sexual relationship in January 2022.
He issued a grovelling apology on social media at the time, with Khloe learning about his infidelity on camera as part of new show The Kardashians after sister Kim read the story online – which Khloe labelled ‘the most offensive part’.
However, she said there was ‘no drama’ between the pair of them and she didn’t ‘want anyone to hate anyone’.
Defending the 31-year-old NBA player, Khloe shared: ‘It’s sad because there’s so many good sides to him as well, but nobody gets to see those because they’re overshadowed by the personal stuff that’s gone on between him and I.’
‘People do make mistakes and he’s still a good person – he’s not a good partner with me – and I want everyone to still have, like, a fair shot at just being happy and having a good life,’ she told host Amanda Hirsch on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
Saying that they still ‘get along really well’, she added: ‘He’s always going to be in my life because of True, and he’s a great dad, and that’s all I really need to focus on.
‘We have a routine and she [True] FaceTimes him every night and it’s just very, like, cordial. There’s just no drama.’
The Good American founder landed back in LA on Monday afternoon from her sister Kourtney’s lavish nuptials with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in Portofino, Italy.
The extended Kardashian-Jenner clan had descended on the fishing village for the wedding celebration, enjoying dinner out ahead of the ceremony and reception at a medieval castle.
