Kerry Katona has provided an update on pantomime rehearsals with her close friend Katie Price, amid rumors that the two might be moving in together.
The Atomic Kitten star, 44, and the former glamour model, 46, will be starring as the wicked stepsisters in Northwich Memorial Court’s production of Cinderella this festive season. The pantomime runs from December 8 to New Year’s Eve.
Despite being spotted taking vape breaks during rehearsals, Kerry reassured fans that Katie is excelling in the production, following a challenging stint in Sleeping Beauty at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena in 2023.
In her column for New Magazine, Kerry wrote: “I’ve started panto rehearsals now for our performance of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court, which have been going really well. Katie Price is in it with me, and she’s been doing so well. It’s nice to have her around.”
Kerry also addressed speculation about their living arrangements, saying: “I did see reports that she had moved in with me – which definitely isn’t true. She will be coming for lots of sleepovers while she’s here though, which will be nice.”
Katie recently revealed on her podcast how she landed the role in the pantomime, thanks to Kerry’s recommendation. “I’ve signed up to another panto! Cinderella! I’m one of the ugly sisters – and guess who the other ugly sister is? It’s Kerry Katona!” Katie shared, adding that Kerry has been working with the production company for six years and suggested her for the role.
The two first became friends in 2004 during their stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, where Kerry was crowned the winner alongside Joe Pasquale. Their friendship has remained strong ever since, with the pair even ringing in 2024 together at a New Year’s Eve party, where Katie confirmed her split from ex Carl Woods.
With Cinderella reportedly breaking theatre records in ticket sales, fans are eagerly anticipating the festive performances from the long-time friends.
