Kerry Katona broke the heartbreaking news that her childhood buddy had died.
The 43-year-old TV personality revealed her anguish with Instagram followers, revealing she wasn’t sure how she made it through the pantomime she is now acting in.
Kerry began by posting a photo of a happy man with the words ‘RIP’ and a broken-heart emoji.
She then went on to reveal that they were childhood friends – and that he was the ‘first boy ever to break my heart.’
Continuing her tribute to ‘Deano,’ Kerry wrote ‘You’ll always be forever in our hearts, sooooo many funny crazy memories we all made together!
‘As sad as it was saying goodbye to you today it was so good to catch up with old friends and reminisce about all the funny crazy s**t we all got up [to].’
Describing it as a ‘surreal and sad day,’ Kerry went on: ‘Said goodbye today to one of my childhood friends.
‘First boy to ever break my heart.’
It’s been a trying time for the mother of five, who had to transport her youngest kid to the hospital earlier this month.
Kerry has a nine-year-old daughter, DJ, with late husband George Kay, and stated in December that her daughter had been’really ill.’
DJ spent two nights in the hospital, forcing Kerry to skip pantomime rehearsals to be with her child.
She earlier stated in her OK! column that she is concerned about DJ’s health since she has ‘had a few fainting episodes.’
Kerry added: ‘We took her for an MRI and the doctor found something.
‘We’re waiting as her results have been sent to a neurosurgeon, but the doctor seems to think she’s alright.
‘He said that lots of us could have what she has but we’ve just not had MRIs.’
Kerry has four more children: Molly, 21, Lilly, 20, and Heidi, 16, with ex Brian McFadden, and Max, 15, with ex Mark Croft.
