Fans got a glimpse at Katy Perry’s close bond with fiancé Orlando Bloom’s ex Miranda Kerr as the pair discussed their friendship on Instagram.
Miranda went live on Tuesday for the launch of her skincare range KORA Organics’s new turmeric moisturiser and was joined by Katy as they discussed their beauty routines and their close relationship.
Katy, 36, joined Miranda on the video call where she revealed she had just got out of the shower and was wearing a stunning blue floral silk robe which Miranda, 37, had bought her for Christmas.
Miranda was pleased to see Katy enjoying her gift, telling her: ‘It looks beautiful on you! I;m so glad you love it.’
Katy added: ‘One of the great things about being close with Miranda is that I get to try out all her products, especially when her son [Flynn] comes home with them in his backpack.’
Miranda shares 10-year-old son Flynn with Orlando, 44, and Myles, 18 months, and Hart, three, with husband Evan Spiegel, 30. Katy also has daughter Daisy Dove, who was born last year, with Orlando.
Katy and Miranda have often gushed about how well they get on with each other, with the supermodel telling Drew Barrymore in November that she is so pleased Orlando has found someone who makes him happy.
She explained: ‘I adore Katy and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing.
‘I’m just so grateful that Orlando and Katy found each other and I’m so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other.
‘When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises what is the best for our whole family. We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that’s the most important thing.’
Miranda and Katy also gushed about how much they love being parents, with the skincare founder gushing: ‘The kids are my number one love. It’s just the best thing in the world, being a mom.’
Katy agreed: ‘It’s the best job. It’s the most fulfilling. There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter. That was like all the love I was ever searching for what like “Bam”.
‘The love from your children is constant and unconditional and isn’t based on what you have, what you don’t have, what career, what product and that’s definitely made me feel so full to know that there’s this unwavering and unconditional love.
‘I’m so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that because I didn’t want to miss out on that opportunity… It’s been the best thing.’
