Katie Price’s mother is getting ready to ‘set the record straight’ in a new memoir.
Amy Price is about to release her book, The Last Word, which is about her daughter’s life and career, as well as how she has been moulded by the women in her life.
It also delves into ‘generational patterns of abuse.’
Katie is extremely close to her mother, who has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable lung disease.
Last night, the mother-of-five rushed to Instagram to share the news of her mother’s book, saying it was ‘finally here.’
‘The Last Word by my mum Amy Price! Setting the record straight!’
The book is described by Publisher HQ as a “raw and unflinching memoir” written as Amy “battled a terminal illness” and offers “a deeply personal and no holds barred account of her daughter Katie Price’s life.”
‘The Last Word is the definitive account of how Katrina Amy Alexandria Alexis Infield became Katie Price, and documents how her life has been shaped by a tradition of strong women, but also cycles of abuse that have been repeated through generations,’ they said in a statement via The Bookseller.
Katie was recently claimed to have had a new tattoo on her right kneecap in tribute of her terminally sick mother, featuring the word ‘family’ in swirling writing.
Amy has had the fatal lung disease since it was identified in 2017.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a disorder that causes the lungs to scar and makes breathing difficult.
Katie previously disclosed that her mother was given a life expectancy of three to five years after being diagnosed, and that she had begun preparing her funeral last year.
In her memoir, Harvey and Me: A Mother’s Love, she revealed: ‘I know it sounds awful, but once we knew the prognosis, I even spoke to my mum about her funeral and what she wants for it.
‘I think it’s much easier to organise a funeral if you know what they want.’
