Katie Price is gushing over her son Junior Andre, who has made the first step into his new career as a musician.

The 17-year-old, who Katie shares with ex-husband Peter Andre, has been teasing new music for months, sharing photographs of him in the studio and promising something big was coming.

While Junior has previously shared a teaser clip of his debut single, Slide, and performed it for his immediate family, fans have now been treated to the teenager’s first-ever official performance of the track.

Having signed to Columbia Records last summer, on Wednesday Junior took to the stage for his first performance at a private event to launch the track.

In the crowd was his aunt Sophie Price, Katie’s sister, who shared a short clip of Junior arriving on the stage to applause.

Her Instagram story was shared by mum Katie, who said she was ‘so proud’ of her son.

The short video sees backing dancers waiting on a small stage as Junior, dressed in an orange tracksuit is handed a microphone.

He walks on to the stage beaming, and takes a minute to wave at the gathered fans as his dancers prepare to hype him up in the background.

The video doesn’t feature Junior’s actual performance – the track will be released in full on June 17, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to hear the full thing.

However Sophie went on to share a snap of her, Junior, and his sister Princess Andre, each of them looking proud as punch of the teenager.

‘Well done J absolutely smashed tonight,’ she captioned the snap.

In an earlier post, Sophie had shared a poster of Junior’s face and the same of his song which was present at the launch, writing that she was a ‘proud auntie.’

Junior has had the full support of his pop star dad throughout his music career so far, with the Mysterious Girl singer writing on Instagram earlier this year: ‘Son I’m so proud of you it’s unreal.

‘Since we went to the studio that day you have not stopped.’

The 49-year-old added: ‘Every single day and night you graft for your craft.

‘You are humble and kind and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs. Get ready everyone.

‘I’m right beside you the whole way. You are my first experience at management so I hope me and the team help get it right.’

However Peter also admitted he was worried for his eldest child, telling Good Morning Britain in February that he was ‘proud and excited’ but ‘there’s also a fear to it.’

He added: ‘This is a way of life and it’s going to be a lot of work for him and he’s so excited. I’m proud but I’m also a little bit scared as I guess anyone would be.’
