Katie Price has defended herself against criticisms about her sex life, stating that people mistakenly believe she has slept with many men.
Katie has been the topic of numerous talks about her relationships, whether she’s welcomed them or not, since her ascent to popularity in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Amy, Katie’s mother, reportedly claimed that Katie was sexually abused, which set off her “downward spiral.”
In response to the’slag’ moniker she’s been given, the 45-year-old revealed how many individuals she’s been intimate with.
Katie discussed her public image with her half-sister Sophie Price, 33, on the first edition of her podcast The Katie Price Show.
‘People think I’m a slag, people think I’ve slept with so many men,’ Katie said on the new podcast.
With so many high-profile romances, including one with Peter Andre, the TV personality is plainly fed up with people thinking she’s ‘easy’.
She teased Sophie and said: ‘You’ve probably slept with more people than me.’
‘I haven’t, I can count on one hand,’ quipped her co-host playfully.
This led Katie to share her thoughts on partnerships and one-night hookups.
‘I can count on two. I am not into one-night stands, never have been. I haven’t been brought up that way,’ shared the mum-of-five.
Katie is sometimes characterised as promiscuous due to her employment as a glamour model in the 2000s, several high-profile romances, and desire for plastic surgery.
She continued: ‘I am not that kind of person, I am very homey, I am not easy to get into bed, no one can just think they can get me into bed.
‘People have to work for it, if they want me. I’m not easy.’
Since she dumped her electrician boyfriend for footballer Teddy Sheringham, the model’s dating life has been scrutinised.
Katie was just 17 at the time and has stated that Teddy, then 34, ‘turned cold’ once the public learned about them.
She subsequently grabbed the attention of Gladiator Ace, who proposed to her when she was 18 years old, but the couple parted up after two years.
Katie has had brief romances with Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates, Danny Cipriani, Leandro Penna, and Dwight Yorke, Harvey’s father.
Dwight has a strained relationship with his 21-year-old son, who has autism, Prader-Willi syndrome, and is partially blind.
Katie has dated individuals outside of the public glare, including Kieran Hayler, with whom she married and has two children, Jett, 9, and Bunny, 8.
Her most well-known relationship was with singer Peter Andre, which featured a spectacular wedding in a pink gown in 2005.
The couple has been married for over four years and has two children, Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, whom they co-parent.
