Katie Price has expressed her frustration with the multiple court sessions she has had to attend for her debt payments after being declared bankrupt in 2019.
A court announced last month that the former beauty model will be questioned about her money four years after she filed bankruptcy.
The court hearing, held at the Royal Courts of Justice, was about her £3.2 million debt payback, for which she was accused of a “breach of income payments arrangement.”
Price is likely to testify at a new bankruptcy court on September 14, according to reports.
At a previous bankruptcy hearing in October 2020, Price apologised to the court, saying she hadn’t been ‘able to deal with these issues or in the right mental state to understand everything that has been going on.’
In February of last year, she evaded jail for the second time due to a ‘last-minute bargain.’
Price has now said that she ‘genuinely doesn’t care’ whether she goes to prison since the trauma will be ‘done’.
Speaking on the Rule Breakers podcast, hosted by Michelle Visage who she starred with on Celebrity Big Brother, she opened up on her ongoing legal troubles.
‘The bankruptcy I’m in, I actually think it’s quite a good thing for me to be in a bankruptcy, and it’s good because I can see everything that’s going on now, whereas before, I was in the fast lane,’ she told Visage.
‘I’m so threatened with court letters. I’ve been to court more times than I’ve had hot dinners lately. I am not scared of court anymore. I have said, “Can’t you put me [in] prison just to cover it all? Just be done with it.”‘
She went on to tell Visage how ‘fed up’ she is with the reminders of the case and spoke about how she wants to ‘experience what it’s like’ in prison and could even tell her post-prison story in another book.
‘I’m fed up with the reminders and why I’m in it [court]. I genuinely don’t care if I go to prison. Because it’s done then,’ Price said.
She continued: ‘I love all the prison stuff and I can experience what it’s like in there. “I could do a story when I come out of being in prison, and it’s a win-win situation isn’t it? It wouldn’t affect my job, it wouldn’t affect nothing.’
‘I wouldn’t be in there long. If they keep threatening me, just do it,’ she concluded.
It comes after the actress was pictured playing with her new puppy Tank after the loss of her beloved dog Blade, amid rising pressure from a petition demanding that she be barred from possessing dogs.
Blade was tragically killed by an automobile in June, but his tragedy drew attention to the petition against the former beauty model.
This was Katie’s sixth pet to die unexpectedly, with 35,000 people signing a petition to ‘stop Katie Price from buying any further animals.’
