Jonnie Irwin received an outpouring of sympathy after posting a photo of an ice pack pushed on his foot on Monday.
The father-of-three revealed that he’d hurt himself at home after forgetting he didn’t have a doorstep.
Jonnie explained: ‘When you forget the builder has removed your doorstep…’
Many of his 186,000 Instagram followers were on hand to offer advice and support, with one person writing beneath his sore-looking snap: ‘Oh no! Hope you’re OK. Plenty of R.I.C.E. Rest, ice, compression & elevation. Take it easy.’
Another added: ‘Lots of ice Jonnie…. You don’t need this that’s for sure!’
Many others simply wrote: ‘Ouch!’ and told Jonnie they ‘hoped he was OK’.
The 49-year-old former A Place In The Sun broadcaster said in November 2022 that he may only have’months to live’ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer that had migrated from his lungs to his brain.
Jonnie has been providing health updates since publicly declaring his cancer diagnosis, most recently on Morning Live, when he discussed getting treatment in a hospice.
The Escape to the Country star has also been updating his Instagram followers on his personal life in recent weeks, from a trip to the Ashes to a rare public appearance at an award event.
On Monday, Jonnie celebrated an emotional last milestone with one of his three little kids, whom he shares with Jessica Holmes.

‘Last EVER ride to nursery with Rex. Suitably waved off by Rafa and his spade and Rex with his game face on!’ the doting dad shared on social media.
Jonnie marked the event with a trio of images from the moment, which showed Rex riding his small bike, decked out in a nice Batman helmet and cycling gloves, with his dad behind him as they posed for a picture in the driveway.
Adorable!
