Joe Wicks’ family had a scary moment when his wife, Rosie, was brought to the hospital.
Rosie is presently 21 weeks pregnant, and she and Body Coach Joe, 38, are about to welcome their fourth child together.
They already have three children: Indigo, five, Marley, four, and Leni, one, whom they are raising while discovering and travelling the world together.
Joe has now disclosed that Rosie had a medical emergency earlier this month and was taken to the hospital to have her appendix removed.
Appendicitis in pregnancy can be exceedingly harmful to both the mother and the unborn child, necessitating emergency surgery promptly upon diagnosis to avoid significant harm to the baby.
Fortunately, he said, both she and their unborn kid are doing well.
Joe shared the news with a snap to Instagram showing Rosie’s growing bump with three medical plasters, revealing ‘Rosie had to go into hospital last week to have her appendix out.’
‘She and the baby are all good,’ he added. ‘She’s on the mend now.’
The plasters and lack of a huge scar imply that Rosie had a laparoscopic appendectomy, which is a minimally invasive procedure that removes the appendix through tiny incisions.
Joe and Rosie made a surprise revelation in January that they were expecting their fourth child, writing joyfully, ‘Baby number 4 approaching!’
The fitness guru has previously stated that he wants six children, and the pair is well on their way.
The pair started dating in 2016 and married in a romantic countryside wedding in 2019.
