Joe Lycett is going to probe celebrities where they shouldn’t be probed on air

Joe Lycett’s latest podcast is a ‘full of s**t’.

By starting a new series asking celebrities about their bathroom habits, the 35-year-old comedian has discovered the great leveller between celebs and the rest of us simple humans.

Joe and his renowned pals on the Turdcast leave no turd untouched, from the most pleasurable to the most horrific.

‘Famous people are just like you and me – they may find themselves experiencing a delightful quarter-hour with a novel and a multipack of Cushelle, or flooring it down the M6 in a race against time to find a Welcome Break cubicle,’ he added in a statement.

‘Let’s face it, most podcasts are basically celebrities spouting shit and Turdcast will now officially confirm that.’

Gary Lineker, the host of Match of the Day, is the first guest, recalling his notorious on-field poo in England’s opening game of the 1990 World Cup, which still has people telling him to’stick to sh***ing on the pitch’ whenever he goes political on social media.

Gary stated in a first look clip of the premiere Turdcast episode that he had to mute a certain term on X (previously Twitter) to clear away his mentions.

‘I’ve spent a lot of time talking about toilet stuff over the years, once my little accident became public knowledge, which was about 20 years after the event – about the same time I went on Twitter, as it was then known,’ he recalled.

‘Every single tweet that I would put out, underneath it would be – whatever I was talking about! Say I was talking about, “I’m going to see Joe Lycett this afternoon”. It’d be, “S**t on Joe Lycett”, multitudes of them all saying, whatever the subject.

‘I’m talking about Manchester City, “S**t on Manchester City”. Brilliantly witty of them all! But in the end, they had this thing where you could mute words so I muted “s**t” and I’ve really not seen any since! It actually works!’

More big names are on the way as Joe attempts to lift the lid on everyone’s toilet habits in a series of highly candid talks.

A press release teases: ‘From King Charles to Gary Barlow, we all need to jump to do a dump, flee to do a wee or grit to do a s**t – literally nobody is too hot to squat.

‘But we ARE all collectively terrified at the prospect of discussing our toilet habits – that time you got caught short, walked in on your mate or realised the loo roll had run out.

‘From bog standards to demon dumps, we all have a toilet story to tell and you’ll now get to hear them all in the number 1 (or number 2) podcast from Mummy.’

Turdcast will drop at 9am on Friday 24th November, available from wherever you get your podcasts.
