Instagram has a new A-lister in its ranks, as Snowpiercer and Labyrinth star Jennifer Connelly has finally joined the platform.
Her husband, WandaVision star Paul Bettany, announced the news on his own page, sharing a screenshot of her profile and warning his 2.4million followers to ‘follow her at your peril’.
Despite Paul urging Instagram users to ‘believe only half the things she says about me’, Jennifer’s first post included a loved-up snap with her hubbie.
The 51-year-old actress explained in the caption of her post that for her Instagram debut, she had shared a ‘photo dump’, which began with an adorable picture of her lying on her sofa with her cat, whose tongue was sticking out.
Her second photo showed a sunset view over New York, with the third capturing the city in daytime during a bike ride.
For her fourth and final image of her photo dump, Jennifer uploaded a selfie taken with Paul, with the pair snuggling affectionately in what looks like a holiday location.
Numerous fans in the comments celebrated her arrival on Instagram, with several expressing how much they adore her performance in Labyrinth, which came out in 1986.
Several also remarked on the picture of her and Paul, who she’s been married to since 2003.
‘The picture of you and Paul,’ one person commented alongside a puppy dog-eyes emoji.
‘That last pic are two awesome peeps!’ someone else said, while another wrote: ‘Welcome! You and Paul look lovely together.’
‘Omg yay you guys are just such a beautiful family! Hooray!’ one fan celebrated, as another dubbed the couple ‘the duo of duos’.
One fan said they were ‘incredibly happy’ that Jennifer had joined Instagram, while another said they’d been ‘hoping for this day’.
‘We’re not worthy,’ someone else put dramatically, as another commented with unbridled enthusiasm: ‘I have never followed someone so fast. LABYRINTH IS MY EVERYTHING.’
Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Paulson, HoYeon Jung, Danny Ramirez and Justin Theroux were also among those celebrating Jennifer’s arrival on Instagram.
Jennifer and Paul first met while working together on the film A Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe, which came out in 2001.
They have two children together – a son born in 2003 and a daughter born in 2011 – and Jennifer has an older son from a previous relationship with photographer David Dugan.
