Rebekah Vardy and husband Jamie Vardy have beaten the January blues by jetting off the Maldives, and we’re not at all jealous.
Okay. Except we are.
The model and football star are on a romantic holiday on the Indian Ocean islands after flying out last week, and judging by the photographs, they’re having a pretty good time.
The pair share three children: Olivia Grace, Sofia and Finley, as well as Rebekah’s two children from a previous relationship, Megan and Taylor.
However the couple enjoyed some time to themselves this week without the kids, as they soaked up the sun on the island as the Maldives baked in sunshine and temperatures reaching 30°.
Jamie, who celebrated his 35th birthday last week, shared a post to Instagram last Wednesday, where he thanked everyone for sending birthday messages and said it was ‘time for some R&R’.
The caption came alongside a photograph of the England star relaxing in a spacious and comfortable first-class seat, with a flute of champagne waiting nearby.
Two days later, Rebekah shared a photograph of herself and Jamie looking tanned and happy in a gorgeous marble building, with the model letting her hair down and pairing a summery yellow-and-pink sun dress with pink heels.
Rebekah, 39, tagged the Cheval Blanc Randheli hotel in her photo, a luxury five-star resort which offers everything from rooms, villas and entire private islands, where prices can range from $3,900 (£2,800) to $8,000 (£5,800) – or more – a night.
As if we weren’t already jealous enough, Rebecca then shared the view from their accommodation in a video showing something that looks very much like paradise on earth.
In the short clip, the light curtains of Jamie and Rebekah’s villa opens slowly, showing crystal clear calm waters and bright blue sunny skie.
She captioned the video: ‘Good Morning feeling blessed. Wishing everyone a wonderful and productive day .’
While some people would look at that view and feel anything but productive, choosing instead to spend the rest of the day catching rays and working on their tan, Rebekah and Jamie have been busy.
The doting mum-of-five shared a video of her and her husband cycling down a sun-drenched road on the way to the gym, while Jamie posted a photograph of himself walking on a treadmill with an incredible exotic view spread out before him.
The Leicester footballer captioned the envy-inducing photo: ‘Working hard.’
With the pair seeming to take a ‘work hard play hard’ mindset to their holiday, Rebekah showed off her beach body, looking fit, healthy and tanned in her £700 Christian Dior bikini.
The photo shows Rebekah, with a hat pulled down over her face and a fluffy blue dressing gown in the background, taking a mirror selfie in the beautiful – but expensive – swimsuit.
Rebekah posted the photo along witha body-positive message: ‘J’adore #lovebeginswithyou .’
Almost a week into their blissful escape, on Wednesday Jamie posted a photograph of himself posing in a black t-shirt, shorts and peaked cap emblazoned with the word ‘The King’.
The break away comes weeks after reports that Coleen Rooney has signed a £1million deal for a Wagatha Christie-inspired documentary based on that incredible moment in 2019 where Coleen claimed to have discovered who had been selling fake stories about her to the press, writing the infamous words on Instagram: ‘It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
Coleen, 35, who’s married to former England football player Wayne Rooney, explained that she set up a ruse on social media that she believed resulted in her catching out Rebekah.
The pair have since become embroiled in a court dispute, with Rebekah strongly denying she ever sold stories about Coleen to the media and hiring a legal team to conduct a ‘forensic investigation’ to determine whether anyone else had access to her Instagram account.
