Katherine Ryan, a Canadian comedian, has settled in London with her boyfriend and children, and their home is simply stunning.
Katherine, 39, has been in the spotlight this week as a result of a series of claims levelled against Russell Brand, 48, in which multiple women claim he raped and sexually abused them during a seven-year period at the height of his career.
In terms of Katherine, she participated on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle with Brand in 2018, when she allegedly called him out for being a “predator.”
Brand is alleged to have been ‘furious’ after making statements that were never broadcast, reportedly stating, ‘I will remind you of that if any victims come forward.’
This was not Katherine’s first mention of improper behaviour in her sector; she previously alluded to it in a November interview with Louis Theroux.
While Katherine has yet to publish a comment in response to the current claims, she did acknowledge the media tempest during a Wednesday appearance, alluding to a ‘elephant in the room’ before quickly shifting the subject.
Katherine later said: ‘If you came here for anything else, I should put you out of your misery now and let you know that I have nothing else to say about anything.’
So Katherine has made it plain that she would not elaborate while Brand, who rejects the allegations, maintains a low profile.
When she’s not on stage or making us laugh on TV, Katherine can be found resting at her home in the capital with her husband Bobby Kootstra and their three children: Violet, 13, from a previous relationship, Fred, one, and Fenna, nine months.
As her trendy home reveals, the stand-up comedian enjoys vibrant furnishings.
Her ultramodern living environment features extra-high ceilings, a fancy kitchen, a stairwell with glass bannisters and flowery wallpaper, and a huge garden space.
Katherine has decked the walls with framed artwork, gilded mirrors, plants, and massive bookcases, giving it the appearance of a Kardashian home.
It’s all quite modern, as she even has an outside swimming pool and enjoys lavishly decorating her front entrance for important events.
In 2019, The Duchess of Cambridge was inspired by Stacey Solomon and Laura Whitmore and commissioned a famous florist to create a stunning autumnal display for her own entrance.
In terms of furniture, she enjoys relaxing on her soft white corner couch, which is accented with black cushions and a fluffy grey carpeting.
The kitchen has high bar stools and an island, and there’s lots of green space outside for the kids to play, as well as a grey sofa set for the grownups.
Is it your face or mine? The host has also scattered emotional elements about the home, such as family portraits.
Of course, there are toys for children as well as comfortable dog beds for her pets.
But don’t be misled, Katherine has already shown us a taste of her reality, showing her Instagram followers in February this year her kids’ incredibly untidy bathroom with some amusing photos.
Katherine arrived to the UK a while ago since an ex-partner wanted to explore London, so she gave it a month-long trial period in summer 2007 before deciding to stay permanently in January 2008.
She’s now completely in love with Bobby, with whom she reconnected after a two-decade break, having initially dated when they were youngsters.
A accidental meeting brought them back into one other’s life, and now they have two children of their own.
