Iggy Azalea has shared her relief after making amends with her ex-boyfriend Playboi Carti following claims he missed Christmas with their son Onyx.
Fancy rapper Iggy publicly called out Playboi Carti over the weekend with allegations that he cheated on her during her pregnancy and invited his mistress to his album party instead of having his family over for Christmas.
The couple welcomed their adorable baby boy Onyx in April but are said to have split around that time.
Tensions escalated on Saturday when Iggy, 30, hit back at comments made on social media from a woman believed to be romantically involved with Playboi Carti.
The woman deleted her Instagram messages following Iggy’s request and the rapper reveals it’s actually been a blessing in disguise for her relationship with Playboi Carti.
After the drama was settled, Iggy informed her Twitter followers: ‘I’ve spoken to my bd [baby daddy] and as f****d up as this s**t’s been… it was for the best because now s***s aired out & gonna change for the better w my son. That’s all I wanted.
‘Let the man enjoy the rest of his album week, this issue deaded now. No more chapters to the story. There’s no bomb. I’m done talking about it. Moving on… [sic]’
Playboi Carti, 24, released his new album Whole Lotta Red on Christmas Day.
Iggy, real name Amethyst Kelly, had earlier called out the woman he was involved with, tweeting: ‘I told you b*****s if I hear a got damn chirp… one bird whistle… a squawk – I’m on your a*s. You better delete ya lil lies offline stat or I’m going in tmrw.’
‘They deleted their comments. Smart,’ she added.
The Australian rapper had furiously lashed out at her ex the day on Friday and wrote: ‘I would never decide to do something of my own free will that meant missing a milestone moment with my son & if you do you’re trash.
‘Too bad you got an album out but can’t even come to Christmas with your own son.
‘Imagine not flying out your family on Christmas but you have the girl you cheated on my my entire pregnancy at your album party and magically me and my son can’t come for Christmas any more? TRASH.
‘And I was gonna keep it cute and let you live but nah, Not after I just peeped that trifling s***. TRIFLING!’
Iggy claimed that Playboi, real name Jordan Terrell Carter, ‘asked’ to have a child with her, and concluded: ‘To clarify this man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me. So this is very much NOT me being bitter, it’s me not ducking with trifling a** s*** that happens at the expense of my son.
‘Everything not for the net, but at a certain point when someone just taking advantage like CRAZY airing it out is all you can do. Night.’
Iggy and Playboi began dating in 2018, with Iggy moving in with the Meh rapper in Atlanta. The Black Widow star never confirmed that she was pregnant but confirmed she had a son two months after giving birth.
