Amanda Holden arrived at her Heart Breakfast programme this morning drunk, having barely gotten two hours of sleep after the Britain’s Got Talent final.
In this year’s Grand Final, comedian Viggo Venn triumphed against Musa Motha, Amy Lou, Olivia Lynes, Ghetto Kids, Travis George, Malakai Bayoh, Duo Odyssey, Cillian O’Connor, and Lillianna Clifton.
Amanda, 52, arrived for her radio programme wearing a high-vis jacket and seeming a bit worse for wear from the BGT after-party, but she said she felt ‘fresh.’
But it wasn’t long before she burst out laughing and asked co-host Jamie Theakston, ‘Where’s the coffee?’
‘I am fresh… that’s all. Well… maybe fresh,’ she said as she began the show, before Jamie added: ‘When I say fresh, that’s two hours sleeping.’
She then let listeners know she was wearing a high-vis jacket while presenting as a tribute to the talent show’s winner for 2023.
‘I’m in high-vis this morning I should say. I’ve had two hours sleep but I’m in my high-vis because I thought it was relevant because obviously Viggo was our winner,’ she explained.
This year’s BGT final has been contentious, with fans in ‘uproar’ about who made the last three.
Viggo was joined in the top three by dancer Lillianna Clifton and Irish magician Cillian O’Connor, however many were surprised that South African artist Musa Motha did not secure one of the coveted positions.
On multiple instances, the dancer had the judges and spectators at home in tears, with the judges even breaching the rules for his initial audition to grant him an additional golden buzzer.
Musa, 27, lost his leg to cancer when he was younger, but that hasn’t prevented him from following his ambition, as he now incorporates his amputation into his thought-provoking performances on a daily basis.
He was the bookies’ favourite to win this year, much to the internet’s chagrin, but he didn’t walk away with the £250,000 prize.
