Halle Berry turned 57 on Monday, and her closest friends and family were there to help her celebrate in style.
The Academy Award winner was accompanied by her 15-year-old daughter Nahla and her partner, Grammy Award winner Van Hunt.
The three went on a Barbie-themed day out, all dressed in pink (yes, even Van, 53), and doting mother Halle shared many adorable photos on Instagram, much to the pleasure of admirers.
Many of Halle’s 8.5 million followers were astounded to see how much Nahla, the A-lister’s daughter with ex Gabriel Aubry, had grown, and Halle even remarked to their height disparity in her caption.
Writing about their day out at Santa Monica’s World of Barbie event, Halle said: ‘My mini me (but not so mini anymore) and my VanO took me to the World of Barbie for my B-day! I got to let my inner Barbie soar!!!!’
Her fans were quick to comment on Halle and Nahla’s height difference, with one person saying: ‘No fricking way that’s Nahla.’
Others echoed: ‘OMG she’s so tall!’ and ‘Wow [your] daughter is tall!’
‘You’re her mini!’ quipped someone else, while another social media user simply added: ‘Nahla!?’
Halle and Van initially declared their romance on Instagram in September 2020, when the former posted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with the musician’s name on it.
After a decade-long court struggle, Halle was able to limit the amount of additional child support she must pay to Nahla’s father Gabriel.
The Monster’s Ball actress has a daughter, Nahla, with Gabriel, and a son, Maceo, with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.
Following their divorce, Halle and Gabriel were entangled in a court struggle when a judge allegedly ordered her to pay $16,000 (£11,600) per month in child support to her ex-boyfriend in 2014.
In 2021, Halle was able to reduce that to $8,000 (£6,479) a month, but she still had to pay an additional 4.3 percent of any yearly income beyond $1.95 million (£1.69mill).
In May, the Daily Mail reported that Halle had managed to cap that additional amount at $4.5million (£3.6mill) in total.
‘Halle shall continue to pay Gabriel 4.3% of any income she receives above $1.95 million, as and for additional child support for Nahla, however, any additional payments of child support pursuant to this Paragraph shall not exceed $109,650 per year, which is the difference between 4.3% of $1.95 million and $4.5 million,’ a filing, obtained by the publication, stated.
‘The parties agree that additional child support over and above $109,650 per year would exceed Nahla’s reasonable needs.’
