Gwyneth Paltrow is renting out her – quite simply – beautiful – guest house on Airbnb.
Yes, the Oscar-winning actress and her writer-producer husband Brad Falchuk are hosting one fortunate fan and their friend overnight in their own exquisite private lodging.
The guest house sits on the grounds of Gwyneth’s $4.9 million estate, which the pair acquired in 2016. It is set among the lovely rolling greenery of Montecito, California, which is regarded as an enclave for the exceptionally affluent and famous, such as Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
And it’s all for a good cause: the Goop creator wishes to “make the world a bit less lonely.”
Gwyneth announced the partnership with Airbnb on her Instagram on Tuesday, and she also gave us a personal tour of the swanky guest house, complete with opulent marble bathtub, a bar, a wood-burning fireplace and access to her gorgeous Olympic-size private pool and the surrounding tranquil countryside for hikes.
She also highlighted the ‘excellent high ceilings’ of the bedroom, which is accessible by a stylish wrought iron staircase.
She exclaimed as she stocked the magnificent bathroom with a range of her Goop skincare products, ‘Your skin will be better when you leave than when you came!’
‘This is nestled right in nature so you can come and have a zen moment with lots of light and fresh air,’ Gwyneth added as she walked around the paths in her beautiful garden.
There’s also a wine room, where the celebrity gave a ‘small chef’s supper together’ with her and her husband, where her lucky visitor could pick ‘whatever bottle of wine you like’.
‘I have everything all set up and ready for you, I cannot wait to host you in the guest house. See you soon!’ the mum-of-two added.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky even put in a cameo in the video from the star’s patio, sharing: ‘I’ve seen a lot of homes and I think this is one of the best homes I’ve ever seen.’
And he’s not wrong.
‘Loneliness is a human condition, but in the past few years, increased isolation and our lack of community has made our lives even more fragmented,’ the Shakespeare in Love star wrote in her caption.
‘@airbnb had the brilliant idea of doing something to make the world a little less lonely, which is why I’m inviting you to come stay at my Montecito guesthouse for a night. While we may begin as strangers, I hope we’ll find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal.
