Over the weekend, Gordon Ramsay cooked a grilled cheese sandwich on the engine of an Aston Martin Valkyrie.
The last time the famed chef, 56, attempted a grilled cheese, he was chastised for not allowing the cheese to melt sufficiently, so he announced on Sunday to his 14.9 million Instagram followers that he was giving it another shot.
However, not everyone was pleased with Gordon because the culinary genius did not share the ultimate product.
Before hopping into the jaw-dropping car, estimated by Motor Trend to be worth an eye-watering $3million (£2.3million), Gordon told his fans: ‘The last time I made a grilled cheese was in Tasmania and you guys absolutely pummelled me.’
He added: ‘I took it on the chin. I got thick skin. So I’d like to redeem myself and give you a grilled cheese like no other.
‘But this time I have an oven that is slightly more powerful. I think it’s the sexiest oven you’ve ever seen in your entire life.’
Gordon then jumped into the car and drove about before stepping out, raising the hood, and grabbing his tinfoil-wrapped lunch.
But one person quickly pointed out: ‘[He] didn’t show the results… what you hiding.’
Another quipped: ‘I like the part where he shows the melted cheese.’
Other social media users echoed: ‘I watched that whole damn video to see the sandwich and y’all cut it??!! No redemption for you’ and ‘Hey wait a minute, we didn’t get to see what it looked like. Did it come out wrong lol.’
When Gordon was in Australia in 2021, he cooked a grilled cheese sandwich over an open flame, but the cheese didn’t completely melt, as several of his followers pointed out, causing Gordon to later admit on TikTok: OK, maybe I didn’t leave it in the pan long enough. I was in a rush.’
