Girls Aloud reunited in a rare appearance at a star-studded wedding, posing together looking completely beautiful.
Despite dissolving in 2013, the musical quartet responsible for songs such as Long Hot Summer and Can’t Speak French has remained extraordinarily close.
The wedding of publicist to the stars Simon Jones was attended by Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh.
They posed for a photo with TV personality Arthur Gourounlian, joining arms and smiling in their first public reunion since they split up.
Although the girls are still friends, they don’t regularly exchange photos of their outings, especially after Sarah Harding died of breast cancer in 2021.
As Arthur uploaded the photo on Instagram, fans wrote that Sarah was ‘smiling down’ at the surprise reunion.
Kimberly looked stunning in a simple red floral print gown, while Nicola chose a simple sage silk gown to accent her striking red hair.
On the left, Nadine kept it casual with a white button-down ankle-grazing dress with a brown belt and stiletto shoes.
Cheryl stole the show in a caped sage and gold floor length gown, scooping her hair up into a bun.
The band has not revealed any further photos from their magnificent wedding at The Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place.
While many enjoyed the reunion, others voiced disappointment that Sarah was unable to attend.
‘Its so sad Sarah is not there 😢 lovely picture Arthur,’ wrote one, while someone else simply said: ‘Except Sarah 🥲.’
Girls Aloud weren’t the only chart toppers at Simon and Rich’s wedding; the famed publicist also invited Little Mix.
Perrie Edwards and Alesha Dixon performed for the happy pair, while Myleene Klass played the piano.
At the meal, the Black Magic singer sat close to N-Dubz star Tulisa, while Tess Daly took a photo with Arthur and his boyfriend Brian Dowling.
Cheryl had previously stated that there were no plans for a Girls Aloud reunion, but fans should ‘never say never’.
She shared: ‘To be honest, we found out Sarah was sick because we’d sat down together to talk about how, if, and what we would like to do to celebrate the 20 years [of the band].
‘And then all that happened, and it changed the feeling of it. It just put a funny taste in my mouth.’
The Love Machine singer added: ‘‘I think more time would be needed before we even – none of us have even uttered a word [about] that. We just have spoken about Sarah. We’ve become really close together.’
