Bella Hadid’s absence from the spotlight has been mentioned by Gigi Hadid.
Bella, a 26-year-old supermodel, was not in rehab, as previously reported. Bella’s 28-year-old sister Gigi has finally revealed where Bella has been.
The mother-of-one sought to allay fans’ fears that Bella will soon return to the runways by posting a picture of herself and her younger sister on Instagram on Tuesday.
Gigi began: ‘Just wanna touch on this post from last week.’
The star continued: ‘Bella just finished a long and intensive treatment for Lyme disease (didn’t want some to take my post as a promise she’ll be back for shows this next season).’
Gigi sweetly concluded: ‘I’m so proud of her and excited for her comeback whenever that may be.’
In July, it was established that Bella had been receiving daily Lyme disease therapy.
When asked about Bella’s health at the time, a source stated: “Bella Hadid is in daily Lyme disease therapy.”
They added to ET: ‘Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped. She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem. Bella is not in rehab.’
Bella has already talked in front of the public about having Lyme illness.
Symptoms of the bacterial illness, which is frequently transmitted to people by infected ticks, include joint and muscular discomfort, headaches, fatigue, and a lack of energy.
In April, on the occasion of her five-month sobriety anniversary, Bella was open about her battles with Lyme illness.
The A-lister disclosed that she had recently experienced a health crisis as a result of an urgent root canal procedure that left her with a low-grade infection.
The celebrity revealed that the medications and Motrin 800 for her jaw infection caused her to start “breaking out randomly, I get what feels like lesions” in skin selfies that showed a breakout.
She opened up about her condition in April, saying: ‘I look sick as a dog compared to what I look like now.
‘Basically, the nerve pain from my jaw ended up going down my entire meridian of my body, and to the touch, everywhere all the way down my body through all my lymph nodes.
‘This pain, man. Something real different. Real different.
‘You can only wonder why my face changes the way it doesn’t and this is why. End of story.
‘That’s why I hate looking in the mirror or taking pictures especially lately, truly wanting to throw up at the sight of myself constantly.’
Bella went on: ‘Years and years of this. If I’m all dolled up maybe I’ll try for the girls, but man is it hard to do this as your profession while also feeling/looking sick like this.
‘And if you look back at work pictures from the past eight years you can tell the difference between me when my Lyme flares up and me when I’m healthy.
‘She’s a different girl. I feel so bad for her my little body [sic]’.
Bella was officially diagnosed with Lyme disease at the age of 16.
