Gemma Collins has revealed that she has begun her fertility journey and hopes to become a mother in 2024.
The 42-year-old reality actress, who is engaged to Rami Hawash, has had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) for 13 years and has had three miscarriages, which she describes as “devastating.”
However, a source now claims that the holiday season is the ‘ideal moment’ for her to have a family.
A source told OK! Magazine: ‘Gemma has been trying to become a mother for so long and it’s the perfect time, she’s so excited for Christmas and is hoping for a miracle and a little one for the new year.’
The remarks come just weeks after the former Towie star came out in response to the news that Gordon Ramsay‘s wife Tana, 49, had given birth to their sixth child with the renowned chef, giving her hope for the future.
‘The Tana Ramsay news was the greatest thing to wake up to. Incredible. It really made me think positively about my future and kind of took the pressure off,’ she explained to MailOnline in November.
‘I don’t think anyone knew she was pregnant, so it was a lovely surprise, but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw it.’
She then revealed: ‘This is amazing news for me. I’m starting my fertility journey within the next couple of weeks.’
Influencer Gemma then said that she will be visiting an IVF facility and advised her followers to “watch these cards and get ready for me, honey.”
She had stated in May that she planned to have a kid at the age of 50 due to breakthroughs in fertility therapy and having ‘the greatest specialists available,’ but she still hoped to conceive naturally.
Gemma had a miscarriage in 2020 and unfortunately lost another baby in 2012, when the kid was only four and a half months old, after giving birth in her house.
Gemma has been keen to extend her family since marrying Rami and becoming a stepmother to Rami’s five-year-old son Tristan.
‘It’s a lot having a kid,’ she admitted.
‘It’s a big commitment but it’s also very rewarding. But my life will take me where it’s going to take me. It’s taken me this far and as sure as hell it’s not over yet.’
Earlier this month, she paid tribute to Rami with a slideshow of images of them together to commemorate their three-year anniversary.

‘You told me years ago I was your girl and I’ve never managed to get away from you he he [sic] I never forget when our eyes met at the king William in Chigwell,’ Gemma reminisced, adding: ‘There’s been highs and lows, fire and ice, but always LOVE @rami_hawash_ love you.’
She continued: ‘You’re always pushing me when I doubt myself and love me just a home in the garden thank you for all the madness and the love and endless talking about plants he he ’
