Gemma Collins’ mum Joan and dad Alan are both ‘extremely unwell’ with Covid-19.
The Towie star shared the news on Instagram saying her dad is feeling ‘wiped out’ and ‘would rather be dead’ than experience the virus.
In a lengthy plea Gemma urged her followers to listen to the public health guidelines.
‘Please please please take notice of the guidelines ! Both my parents are extremely unwell with Covid 19!’ she wrote.
‘Seeing my dad cry which he never does ! Was a shock and say he would rather be dead then experience everything he is going through right now… this has totally wiped him out and it’s heartbreaking 
‘My mum also is extremely extremely unwell with Covid also, this is real ! And please please take notice and keep your loved ones SAFE 
Her followers flooded the comments with messages of support, wishing her parents a speedy recovery.

‘Sorry to hear this Gem, I hope your mum and dad recover quickly. Sending lots of love,’ read a further comment.
One fan who had been through something similar with their family posted: ‘Just tell them to keep fighting, my FIL felt the same way he just needs to keep going.
‘He will have dark days but he just needs to take every day as they come and he will win. My thoughts are with you all, keep digging deep.’
