Emma Roberts and partner Garrett Hedlund have split after three years together, it has been claimed.
The Scream Queen actor, 30, and her Tron star boyfriend, 37, first began dating in 2019.
After a whirlwind romance, Emma announced she was expecting in August 2020, and gave birth to the couple’s son, Rhodes, that December.
The pair appear to have now gone their separate ways, with multiple sources telling People that they split a few weeks ago after some ‘rocky’ months in their relationship.
A source said: ‘It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It’s been hard.’
The news comes weeks after Rhodes’ first birthday, which the family celebrated with a rodeo-themed party.
A source had previously told People that Garrett had ‘stepped it up’ since Rhodes was born, and that ‘having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected’.
Emma announced their son’s birth in January 2021 by sharing a sweet picture to Instagram with the baby’s face turned away from the camera.
She captioned the picture: ‘Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund.’
The Scream 4 actress also shared plenty of bump pictures on social media, and became the first pregnant cover star of Cosmopolitan.
In the magazine, Emma – whose aunt is Julia Roberts – explained that she always wanted to have a baby, but had to freeze her eggs after being diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago, after switching to a female doctor.
She said: ‘Finally, there was validation that I wasn’t being dramatic. But by then, it had affected my fertility. I was told, “You should probably freeze your eggs or look into other options.”’
Emma said the process was ‘difficult’ but she got her eggs frozen – before finding out she had conceived naturally.
Emma and Garrett began dating shortly after Emma split from American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters, following a five-year engagement.
Country Strong star Garrett, meanwhile, was previously engaged to Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst, who he dated between 2012 and 2016.
