Emily Atack announces devastating family loss as famous pals rally around star: ‘Rest easy my wonderful uncle’

The tragic passing of Emily Atack‘s uncle Steve has been reported.

On Sunday, the 33-year-old celebrity verified the information and expressed her heartbreak to her 1.9 million fans.

Many of the actress’ well-known pals rallied behind Emily and sent her their best wishes right away.

Posting a handful of photos of herself and Steve, Emily penned: ‘It breaks my heart to say that on Friday we lost my beautiful uncle Steve.’

She went on: ‘I often shared photos and stories with you all on here about him because I simply adored him. Everybody did.

‘The smartest and funniest soul you could ever wish to have in your company.’

Emily continued: ‘Always sharing his talents and love for music, cooking, hiking and writing. Just a few of many.

‘He appreciated every single day he was here, his zest and enthusiasm for life was infectious.

‘I am truly blessed and honoured to have some of my most treasured memories with you Uncle Steve aka Uncle Beef, The Mountain Man. The light of our lives.’

Emily concluded her post: ‘I love you so much and I will miss you beyond belief.

‘May you live on through the music and the mountains. Rest easy my wonderful Uncle Beef.’

Laura Whitmore was quick to share her condolences, telling Emily: ‘Ah I’m sorry Emily! Lots of love. Rest in peace Steve xxxx.’

Vicky Pattison added: ‘So sorry Em, sending my condolences to you and your family,’ while comedian Tom Davies said, ‘Thoughts with you and your family mate.’

Emily’s depressing news comes after she was spotted with David Tennant on the set of a Jilly Cooper drama.

While filming the Disney+ series, Emily adopted the look of an 80s blonde, curly-haired socialite while wearing gold, ruffles, and dramatic lipstick.

Jilly’s Rivals, the second book in her adored Rutshire Chronicles, will be the subject of the eight-episode television series.
