Ellie Goulding and Lewis Capaldi are among the stars who have paid tribute to Tom Mann’s fiancée Dani Hampson who died on what would have been the couple’s wedding day.
Former X Factor star Tom, who starred on the show in 2014 as part of the band Stereo Kicks, shared the tragic news on Instagram.
He shared a stunning black and white photo of Dani and their eight-month-old son Bowie as he told his followers: ‘I can’t believe I am writing these words but my darling Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th June.
‘On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I have cried an ocean.
‘We never made it to the altar; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle. I will wear this ring that I was always supposed to wear as a sign of my unconditional love to you.’
He added that he was going to muster his strength for their son and aims to raise him ‘just the way we always wanted’ and ensure that the little boy ‘will know how amazing his mummy was’.
Following his post, many of Tom’s friends shared their condolences, with Ellie Goulding commenting: ‘I’m thinking of you non stop… You are so strong. Here for you always. Love you xxxx’.
Lewis Capaldi shared his support, writing: ’Love you brother’ while MNEK commented: ‘awful news Tom. Sending u so much love and light- here for you x’
The Vamps’ Connor Ball voiced his sorrow, adding: ‘i’m so sorry Tom sending all the love’ while Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan simply put: ‘I am so so sorry.’
Singer Griff wrote: ‘So sorry for your loss Tom. Here if there’s ever anything x’ while Mae Muller told him: ‘tom i’m so so sorry, sending you all the love in the world, love you.’
Songwriter Kamille added: ‘I’m so so sorry this is heartbreaking’ while Rita Ora’s sister Elena Ora wrote: ‘I’m so sorry Tom. Sending you all my love and prayers.’
Dani’s cause of death has not yet been revealed.
