After receiving a fresh tattoo across her whole back, Doja Cat has shown off even more of her stunning body art.
The Grammy Award-winning performer, 27, showed the ink on Instagram, displaying the skeleton bat alongside a brief explanation of its significance.
The artist added pages of writing, stressing the line: ‘Bats typically signify death in the sense of letting go of the old and welcoming in the new. They represent transition, commencement, and the beginning of a new beginning.’
Sanghyuk Ko, commonly known as Mr. K, is a Bang Bang Tattoo artist who has inked Matt Damon, Liam Hemsworth, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and David Beckham.
Doja’s latest tattoo comes after a previous demonic tattoo on the celebrity.
Last month, the artist debuted a new monster tattoo on her forearm based on a Giovanni Battista Bissoni picture from the 1634 book De Monstruorum Causis, Natura et Differentiis by Italian philosopher Fortunio Liceti.
Doja seems unbothered by the outrage her tattoo faced from fans, tweeting: ‘if ur calling me demonic honestly werk cuz like i love that u ate fr. (sic)’
The Kill Bill rapper also resorted to Instagram stories to further chastise haters enraged over the artwork.
‘Satan said thanks for all the buzz. F**k you and f**k what you believe b***h,’ she said.
It comes after Doja stunned in a stunning gown at this year’s Met Gala.
The topic of this year’s event was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, and the musician based her attire on Lagerfeld’s favourite cat Choupette.
She wore a gorgeous Oscar de La Renta gown with bejewelled cat ears and jaw-dropping face prosthetics for her appearance, which many thought ‘won’ the event this year.
Doja also made an impression at this year’s Time 100 Gala, when she walked the red carpet in a translucent lilac gown with frills, spaghetti straps, and a tiny train.
It also had another transparent top underneath, revealing that Doja was not wearing a bra that night.
Later that evening, she approached the stage in a black halterneck crop top with a matching skirt and a huge puffer jacket draping over her shoulders.
Doja performed a variety of her classics, including Woman and Say So, for the star-studded crowd.
