Diddy has cancelled his notorious New Year’s Eve party to keep everyone ‘safe and healthy’ this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 51-year-old rapper, real name Sean Combs, announced to his 17million followers on Instagram that his legendary annual bash will not take place on Thursday – and that he won’t be changing his mind.
Taking to both his feed and story, Diddy penned: ‘TO ALL MY FRIENDS: In efforts to keep everyone safe & healthy unfortunately WE ARE NOT HAVING A NYE PARTY THIS YEAR!
‘I hope everyone had a blessed holiday and wish you all the best for the new year!’ (sic)
Captioning the post, he added: ‘ATTENTION… THIS IS TO EVERYONE, ALL OF MY FRIENDS & FAMILY… I’M NOT CHANGING MY MIND… SEE YOU ALL IN 2021! LOVE YOU!’
Many of Diddy’s showbiz pals responded to the post, while his fans applauded him for being sensible.
Kerry Washington simply wrote: ‘Amen!’, while DJ E Feezy added: ‘I always look forward to tearing those parties down…… I guess we back at it again next year.’
Last year, Diddy threw a huge bash with DaBaby and DJ Khaled in Miami for all their celeb friends, including Winnie Harlow and Meek Mill.
Days later, he was photographed living it up with DJ Khaled, Future and Meek Mill at the beach jet skiing.
Last month, Rita Ora broke lockdown rules by throwing a party to celebrate her 30th birthday at a swanky London restaurant, with a group of close friends and family
She later released a statement via her rep, saying she was ‘deeply sorry’ for the breach.
