Dawn French is heading out on a UK tour, and it has a questionable name.
The comedian has also released the dates for her upcoming solo show, with tickets on sale now.
The French and Saunders star – where she starred alongside pal Jennifer Saunders – has written the show herself, and is looking forward to delighting fans with ‘buttock clenching embarrassing stories.’
What is Dawn French’s tour called?
In true Dawn French style, her UK tour is titled Dawn French Is A Huge Tw*t.
Explaining the meaning behind the explicit name, the funny lady said it’s ‘horribly accurate.’
‘This show is so named because unfortunately, it’s horribly accurate. There have been far too many times I have made stupid mistakes or misunderstood something vital or jumped the gun in a spectacular display of tw*ttery.
‘I thought I might tell some of these buttock clenching embarrassing stories to give the audience a peek behind the scenes of my work life.’
‘Roll up! Book early to see the telly vicar lady be a total tw*t on stage, live in front of your very eyes. And ears,’ she joked.
The show is produced by PML and MGC and directed by Michael Grandage, with set and costume design by Lez Brotherston.
The award-winning actor will return to the stage this autumn, following her most recent appearance in Kenneth Branagh’s Poirot thriller Death on the Nile.
