David Beckham has undoubtedly lost count of the number of tattoos he has, but the former footballer has added another to his collection.
Becks, 48, is well-known for his tattoos, which cover his whole body.
Last year, it was revealed that the Manchester United icon has almost 60 tattoos, including the names of his children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper – and designs devoted to wife Victoria.
He has tattoos from his feet to his head, and he recently got a new one on his left hand.
The footballer published a series of photos on Instagram showing followers the tattooing process at Shamrock Social Club.
He took a photo while seated on the chair, watching acclaimed artist Mark Mahoney at work.
The athletic icon’s other tattoos were on full view in the photos he uploaded, including the birds on the side of his head, which are now visible again after he buzzed his locks.
His caption read: ‘They don’t make them like this anymore 💚 First stop @markmahoney_ssc 💚 @shamrocksocialclub ☘️’
David didn’t show us a close-up of his new tattoo, but several admirers in the comments speculated that he was merely touching up the cursive ‘Victoria’ that was previously there.
‘Didn’t think you had any room left for more. 🙌🔥👏’, one follower joked.
‘“How many tattoos do you want David?” David: Yes’, another quipped.
David braved the needle and got his first tattoo while playing for Manchester United in 1999.
His first tattoo was in celebration of his eldest kid Brooklyn, who was born on March 4, with the budding chef now following in his father’s footsteps and getting a slew of tats himself.
Brooklyn, 24, was reported to have 100 tattoos, 70 of which were devoted to his wife, Nicola Peltz, in January.
Speaking previously about his beloved tattoos, David said in 2016: ‘The story of my life is written on my skin. Don’t expect to read it on my face.’
While the meaning of many of his tattoos is kept private, David has also told People magazine that he often gets asked, ‘When you’re 60, how is it gonna look?’
In response, David said: ‘I’m not even worried about it.’
