Chris Evans has provided a health update to followers following his news that he has skin cancer.
Last month, the 57-year-old broadcaster stated that he had been diagnosed with the condition but was optimistic about a full recovery because it was discovered in its early stages.
The health fear comes eight years after he was given the all-clear after a prostate cancer scare in 2015.
He’s now posted an update with supporters, celebrating the removal of the tumour on his leg.
Showing the scar that remains in its place, Chris wrote on Instagram: ‘And that’s a W.R.A.P. Early cuzza to celebrate + 0.0 VERY cold beer. #getyourselfchecked/checkafriend Peace&Love people. HAPPY THURSDAY.’
His post was showered in love, with one fan writing: ‘Onwards and upwards.’
‘Heal well! Enjoy the curry,’ another wrote, while a third added: ‘Sending lots of healing love.’

According to the BBC, Chris earlier stated that the mark will be removed on September 14, stating that “it’s as curable as cancer can be to the degree that they term it “stage zero.”
The father-of-four earlier stated that he was not concerned after noticing an unusual mark on his skin, disclosing that it was his masseuse who advised him to have a freckle on his leg evaluated by a specialist.
He explained: ‘The lady who did my massage spotted this mark on my left calf six weeks ago and she said, “Have you noticed this before?”
‘She said, “I think you should get it checked out. I don’t think it’s anything, but you know I see a lot of this, this is what I do for a living, I look at people’s skin, I’m in contact with them all the time” and she said, “I’ve seen a few things over the years and that’s something you might want to get checked out”.’
However, because of his freckle-prone complexion, he ignored the warning until a second massage, when she urged him to get it checked again, at which point he decided to consult a doctor.
Chris went on: ‘The next Friday I went back and she said, “What did they say about the freckle?” I said I didn’t go, and she gave me this different look, more maternal look.
‘I think I was going to do something about it anyway, but she gave me a look just six days after the first time. She said, “Do it for me. Go and get this checked out” and I thought, “Yeah absolutely of course I will”.’
