Charlotte Dawson and her fiancé Matt Sarsfield are expecting their second child.

The pair is already doting on their two-year-old son Noah, who is overjoyed to be a big brother.

Charlotte, 30, made the announcement on Monday, ten months after a ‘heartbreaking’ miscarriage.

Opening up about her current pregnancy, Charlotte revealed that it was Matt who first suggested she might be expecting.

‘Matthew is like my period person – he knows when I’m due on,’ she explained.

The Ex on the Beach star added to OK!: ‘ He was like, “You’ve not been on,” and I was like, “It’s been a day!” I was stressed from doing pantomime, so I just put it down to that.

‘Then I was really, really tired one day and I felt really ill. So I said, “Matt, I just think we should do a test”.’

Charlotte, who is 17 weeks pregnant with her rainbow baby, also stated that Noah continues ‘kissing her tummy’.

‘It’s been an extraordinarily tough week mentally but also obviously physically,’ the TV star said on Instagram after miscarrying last April.

‘I am heartbroken beyond words.. and I know I’m never quiet on here, & always so open and honest with you guys so it’s been a shock to you all.’

She continued: ‘Unfortunately I’ve suffered with a miscarriage. Obviously our families & close friends have known about me being pregnant, but didn’t announce anything until I got further down the line.

‘I was so excited to share our happy news with you all. Noah’s little brother or little sister, as you can imagine Matthew & I were absolutely over the moon our little family was going to be growing.

‘I also found out on mother’s day which was just so special. But sometimes it’s just not meant to be, I really thought it was but it just wasn’t this time. Miscarriages are so common & not spoke about enough. We are so heartbroken right now have no words.’

Charlotte also kept followers updated during Noah’s pregnancy, frequently posting candid messages about her journey.

She said that being pregnant during a pandemic was a “mental challenge,” especially after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which forces her to adjust her diet to check her glucose levels.
