Charlotte Crosby has undergone a serious health and fitness transformation since leaving Geordie Shore, and has shared her tips on getting motivated to get moving.
The former Geordie Shore star, 31, first got into fitness around five or six years ago and has now created her own app, Blitz N Burn, to help others with their own fitness journey.
Revealing how she beats the January blues and gets herself motivated to work out, Charlotte told Metro.co.uk: ‘I bought an Apple Watch and that is literally my sole motivation every single day. I should have shares in Apple for the amount of people who’ve actually bought one after I said this!
‘Obviously, you can go on about self-motivation as much as you want but everyone knows that sometimes you just can’t find it. Buy yourself a watch and believe us, you won’t look back.’
As well as challenging herself to beat her personal bests, Charlotte has leant on the Blitz N Burn community for motivation to reach her goals.
She explained: ‘With the app, it was really important for us to try and have everything in one place. With a lot of apps and platforms and websites, they all have the community side of things either on Facebook or on an online forum but with Blitz N Burn, everything’s in one place.
‘Everything you need is in that app, the community is in the app, the workouts are in that app, the recipes are in that app, the PDFs are in that app, everything.
‘It’s like a one stop shop and we’re only going to continue to add and evolve and update and get better.’
Charlotte added: ‘Everyone’s so supportive. You can high-five each other on the app and you can follow people and see their whole journey.
‘You can just cheer everyone on and motivate people, and honestly, the support in the community section alone is mind blowing.
‘I sit on it at nighttime, and just read all of these motivated girls all cheering each other on. There’s so much community spirit.’
Since leaving Geordie Shore, Charlotte has built up several successful businesses including her Naked Lane homeware range and Pepper Girls Club clothing.
Never one to sit on her laurels, 2022 will see her funnel her energy into making her brands even bigger and better – a position she never expected to be in when she joined the show.
She explained: ‘I could never even have expected all of this, but I’m just so grateful.’
The Covid-19 lockdown is what led to her branching out into Blitz N Burn, after finding she turned to exercise where most of us turned to banana bread.
She explained: ‘It’s been in the works behind the scenes for so long now, since Covid began. When we went into lockdown I got back into my fitness and found I had the time to be in a routine and eat good and exercises rather than living out of a suitcase and not being home for longer than a week.’
Spending the past 18 months getting back into fitness has given Charlotte a confidence boost as well, as she admits: ‘I definitely feel the best and most confident I’ve ever felt.’
Blitz n Burn is available now Apple and Android app stores on a monthly subscription starting at £14.99.
