After the release of the film’s latest teaser and a slew of character images on Tuesday, the new Barbie movie has us all in a chokehold.

This covers superstars as well.

Barbie, which is still in post-production and three months away from release, has been a feast of content for fans over the last year due to its amazing content.

We had a plethora of on-set photos in 2022, ranging from Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) sporting their best cowboy looks to hitting the streets for some rollerblading in coordinating neon costumes.

We’ve now been treated to a massive 26-picture collection of character posters, providing incredible first-looks at its ensemble of Barbies, Kens, and humans, including Dua Lipa as Mermaid Barbie, Issa Rae as President Barbie, and Emma Mackey as a Barbie with a Nobel Prize in physics.

There’s also Lawyer Barbie, Emerald Fennell as Midge, the famous doll’s closest friend, and Michael Cera as… Allan.

We have also been given the tools to be our own Ryan Gosling as Ken on a poster, if we so wish (Picture: Instagram/@barbiethemovie)

Indeed, the ensemble is so large that we didn’t even get a peek of unexpected newcomers John Cera and Rhea Perlman.

We were all happily loosing our minds over Barbie and having fun with the brilliant photo generator tool that enables you to appear in your very own Barbie movie poster.

Renfield actor Nicholas Hoult shared a mock-up of banners depicting him and co-star Nicolas Cage as Dracula, with the title of the film superimposed over Barbie.

‘Come on Barbie let’s go party,’ the 33-year-old wrote in a nod to Aqua’s amazing song (which sadly won’t be featuring on the soundtrack).

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Snoochie Shy also showed off her Barbie poster, for which she wore wight and added the slogan: ‘This Barbie is letting dem know [sic].’

‘Living my Barbie dreams,’ the radio presenter added.

Michael Kelly, actor of House of Cards and Jack Ryan, also shared a mock-up of his Prime Video co-stars on Barbie banners, including John Krasinski and Wendell Pierce.

He gave it the caption, ‘Step aside GI Joe. Barbie is calling.’

Meanwhile, West End actress Marisha Wallace shared a Barbie picture of Miss Adelaide from Guys and Dolls.

‘This Barbie is developing a cold,’ she wrote next to it, in reference to the role’s struggle with what she reckons are psychosomatic symptoms in the musical.

The official Jersey Shore account on Instagram was also having fun, mocking up multiple posters of its former cast, including Snooki, Mike ‘The Situation’; Sorrentino and Jennifer Farley, aka JWoww, alongside the caption: ‘8 tickets to the Barbie movie, please.’

Following suit was Scream VI actor Mason Gooding, who posted a photo of himself with friends in a rock climbing facility with the caption ‘4 tickets to see the Barbie movie please’ superimposed on the image.

‘Oh we pullin up to the @barbie movie,’ he wrote in the caption.

The new trailer, directed by Greta Gerwig of Little Woman, featured Robbie and Gosling in Barbie Land with all their Barbie and Ken pals, with some friction between primary Ken and Simu Lui’s Ken.

Meanwhile, Barbie appears to be fleeing the real world at one moment, with a flash of Will Ferrell’s CEO character captured in a workplace Barbie is visiting.

Barbie will be released in UK cinemas on July 21, 2023.
