Celebrities have flocked to Madonna’s side after she fell gravely unwell over the weekend.
The 64-year-old Material Girl star was brought to critical care and is believed to be ‘improving’ after contracting a ‘bacterial illness’ on Saturday.
While she is expected to recover completely, Madonna is currently in intensive care, and her family is believed to be “prepared for the worst.”
Lourdes Leon, her 26-year-old daughter, was allegedly by her side throughout the trauma.
Madonna’s manager confirmed the news in an Instagram post, writing: ‘On Saturday June 24, Madonna acquired a severe bacterial illness which led to a multiple day stay in the ICU.
‘Her health is improving, but she is still receiving medical attention. A complete recovery is anticipated.
‘At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.
‘We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.’

She was then scheduled to perform many nights in London in October and December, as well as appearances in Europe and North America.
